The wine cellar
The reconversion of space left some memories of his metalomechanical times. Modernization brought a responsible energy consumption and the rationalization of natural resources as practices of environmental sustainability. The art of António Bustorff and Tiago Cutileiro illustrate the simplicity of the process and the art of creating our wines, of a unique “terroir”, where you can feel the sea, the slopes and the different altitudes.
The estate
The Quinta de S. Sebastião estate was built in the 18th century and has as a reference its Portuguese manor house and a centuries-old hermitage. Stories of pilgrimage and miraculous nature are told about it, dating back to 1755. Visit us and feel its history. In a trip through time, enjoy the chapel, the wine cellar with its old stone winepresses, and the horse-riding ring. Take a walk through the vineyards and discover the old mine [“Mina Velha” in Portuguese].
The vineyards
The location of our vineyards, between the Atlantic and the Tagus, between the floodplains and the mountains, brings a maritime influence that gives our wines a unique freshness and salinity, where the red varieties – Syrah, Merlot, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz – and the white ones – Arinto, Sauvignon Blanc and Cercial – develop in full harmony.
